Rawai Beach Phuket

Rawai Beach retains its quiet easy going nature and still retains its fishing village nature. The main beach is not the best place to swim but it is a great place to pick up your boat transfer to a few of the exotic islands that dot the coastline of Phuket. There’s a new long concrete municipal pier, you cannot miss it and the entire beach is lined with various types of transfer boats, so you can shop around and shop and talk to various boat vendors. The boats range from the humble longtail boats to high end speed boats, so no worry, transportation for every budget. Islands close to Rawai Beach are Coral Island which is home to the Coral Island Resort. Lone Island is close by, home to Cruiser Island Resort. Raya Yai Island which houses Ban Raya Resort and many people like to go scuba diving near Raya Noi Island. Rawai is only a 15 minute scooter ride to Nai Harn Beach or Yunui Beach, both great places to swim and soak up the sun. The Rawai Palm Beach Resort  is a new a very nice 4 star resort. The free wifi works great, free breakfast was very good. Its a good base from which to explore Yunui Beach and Nai Harn Beach. As with every Thai community, there are plenty of cute little beach bars along Rawai.
