The Best Place to Exercise in Bangkok

If you like to maintain your fitness and daily exercise routine while travelling it can be a real challenge. Most hotels have very small gyms with limited equipment and the swimming pools are so small they simply don’t offer any exercise value. Rest assured in BKK, I have your solution. Inside the Pathumwan Princess Hotel, on the 8th floor, you will find the Olympic Gym Fitness Facility. Guests of the hotel can use the facility for free, so if your hotel budget is about $150 USD per day and up, you’re fine. However, if the room rates are more than you want to afford, what can you do?

The Olympic Gym offers all various types of memberships, daily drop in fees, weekly, monthly, 3 month packages and yearly rates. They offer discounted student rates and discounted deals for non peak hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm weekdays and weekends). Its a huge gym, very well equipped wtih a wide range of modern equipment. There are yoga rooms, stretching rooms and personal trainers ready to help you at no charge. If you like to swim, the huge pool is a life saver, I’d say it measures about 35 meters in length and there are lanes specifically for those who want to do laps. There’s a nice Italian Restaurant at the poolside to which you recieve discounts as a gym member. TENNIS ANYONE! Not to be left out, The Olympic Gym has 2 rooftop tennis courts, you can really do it all here. Gym staff can arrange tennis partners (they call them knockers) including a tennis racquet with balls for an additional charge and what you get is a good tennis instructor as your partner.

The Pathumwan Princess Hotel is located close to MBK Mall or the National Stadium BTS Skytrain Station. Just click this link, or find it from the Pathumwan area of BKK.

The Pathumwan Princess Hotel is centrally located right beside Siam Square and Siam Paragon Shopping Malls. This is probably the most central location in Bangkok. The award winning Pathumwan Princess Hotel is large and very well appointed, the staff are absoutely delightful and very friendly. Its a great location from which to explore Bangkok!
