All cabins onboard MV Deep Andaman Queen have air conditioning and en-suite bathroom with a water shower. You have a variety of cabins to choose from depending on your needs, from Standard Quad, Triple and Twin share cabins on the lower deck to Deluxe Double bed and Deluxe Twin bed cabins on the main deck. The Master cabin is the pride of the vessel and it boasts the best panoramic view any liveaboard master cabin can offer. MV Deep Andaman Queen is designed for divers and it offers guests one of the largest and most comfortable dive platforms in South East Asia.

MV Deep Andaman Queen also carries a Nitrox membrane system onboard; we can fill cylinders with a mixture up to 32% Oxygen. Our Professional PADI Dive Instructors are certified gas blenders to ensure your safety.

One of the pleasures of diving with MV Deep Andaman Queen is that you don’t have to worry about long surface swims after a dive! We will ensure you are picked up safely and quickly by one of our two dinghies or by our big boat. Once safely back on the boat, the crew will assist you with your dive equipment and offer you a cool drink. Enjoy our delicious food after the dives and continue with the relaxing schedule of the trips.

The Dive Crew

The highly experienced Dive Staff on board are all professional multilingual PADI Dive Instructors. They have worked several seasons in the Similan and Surin National Marine Parks, Burma Bank, Phuket southern sites, Hin Daeng, Hin Muang , Adang, Rawi, Lipe and Tarutao. When you’re diving with our professional dive staff, they will show you all the amazing wonders the sea has to offer. Your guides will also work to find the specific marine life you are interested in. In some cases, if you are an experienced diver and just want to have a dive site briefing, then you and your dive Buddy can go on your own. However, you must follow the diving rules and instructions given by our Dive Staff to ensure your safety.

The dive crew teams consists of 1 Tour leader (Cruise Director) + 1 Assistant Tour Leader + 3 Diving Guides (Instructors) (All our Dive Staff are PADI Professionals!).

The Boat Crew:

The boat crew is experienced, friendly, and very helpful -- they are a perfect example of why Thailand is called the land of Smiles! Our deck hands will help with everything from getting you into your wet suit, gear, and fins to safety checks and mask de-fogging. Before and after every dive, they will be there to help get you in and out of the water safely. 1 Captain + 3 Deck hands (Boat Boys) + 1 Engineer + 1 Chef + 1 Maid.

3:00 to 6:00 PM - Pick-up at your Hotel, Phuket Airport, Dive shops or Khao Lak. Pick-up times vary according to the location in Phuket.
6:00 to 8:00 PM - Arrival at MV Deep Andaman Queen(Tablamu Pier) Welcome Drinks - Cabin Allocation - Staff Introduction Boat Briefing - Welcome Dinner


7:00 to 7:30 AM - General Diving Rules & Safety Briefing
From 8:00 am through to about 7:00 PM Today - You can enjoy three day time dives around the Similan Islands. Visit Island No. 4. Enjoy paradise on a beautiful white sandy beach.
7:30 PM - Night dive at Honeymoon Bay No. Island 4)


7:00 am to 1:00 pm - This morning enjoy two dives around the Similan Islands. Visit Island No. 8 / Enjoy paradise with nature and a white sandy beach.
2:00 pm to 6:30 pm - Expore again, with two dives around Koh Bon and Koh Tachai Islands.


7:00 am to 9:00 am - Get up early and descend into your early morning dive around Koh Tachai Island
10:30 am to 6:30 pm - Three dives all day around Richelieu Rock and Surin Island.


7:00 am to 8:00 am - One early morning dive around Koh Bon Island
11:00 am to 12:00 noon If possible, one dive at Boon Sung Wreck
1:00 pm Leave the dive site for Tablamu pier (Lunch, Debriefing)
3:00 to 3:30 - Disembarkation at Tablamu pier
6:00 to 8:00 pm - Arrival at your hotel in Phuket or Airport

Good to Know

Onboard Amenities:

There is plenty of space to move about and relax between dives; whether you would like to sunbath, read a book, or watch some movies in the saloon, we have what you are looking for. The saloon onboard Deep Andaman Queen is very comfortable, with large panoramic windows, a TV/DVD/music entertainment center, cushy couches, and a full selection of marine life books & diving magazines.

The main deck outside of the Saloon is a shaded seating area (dining area) where you can enjoy watching some scenic views across the islands. Sunbathers enjoy the top deck, where there is a large 60 square meter half-shaded sun deck equipped with sun beds, lounge chairs and soft sofas. The sun deck is very popular among our guests as you can read or nap during surface intervals on nice clean and comfortable leathered sofas. This is also the best place to spot friendly dolphins cruising along with our boat. In the evening, you can relax while enjoying an amazing night sky. Some of the best star-gazing in the world, many guests choose to sleep on the top deck and wake up to a beautiful sunrise.

After each dive, we refill your cylinder at your station without removing your gear so there is no unnecessary moving around. You just put all your equipment together on the first day, and for the rest of the trip you can relax and remember to Dive, Dive, Dive!

Onboard Equipment Rental:

  • Mask, Fins, Snorkel, BCD, Shorty Wetsuit,Regulator with Alt. Air Source & Gauges are $22 per day. 
  • 15 Litre cylinder is $10.90 per day
  • 12 Litre Nitrox enriched air is $7.75 per day
  • Other individual equipment items are available to rent, we will send you a complete list when booking 

Cabin Options: 

There are 5 types of cabins with a total of 9 cabins, all with en-suite bathroom, warm water shower and centrally controlled air-conditioning.

  • 1 Master Cabin (1 King-size bed) with 8 panoramic windows, fridge, mini bar & TV/DVD player
  • 5 Deluxe Cabins (3 Double bed cabins & 2 Twin bed cabins) all with large windows
  • 1 Standard Twin Cabin (2 Twin bunk beds / twin share) with porthole windows.
  • 1 Standard Triple Cabin (3 Twin bunk beds / triple share) with porthole windows
  • 1 Standard Quad Cabin (4 Twin bunk beds / quad share) with porthole windows

Cabins also have wardrobes to store clothes during the trip. Twin-prong socket at 220 volts main outlet 24 hours per day.

Terms & Conditions

Departure Dates:

Deep Andaman Queen operates the 5N/4D tour twice weekly with the actual day of departure varying but often Saturday's, Sundays or Monday. The 8N/7D tour to the Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar (Burma) is much less frequent, about once a month on average. If you want to know the schedule before booking, email us at and we will reply with what you need to know. Alternatively, you can just send us your booking request and we will reply to you with the departure schedule closest to your requested dates. 

Booking the Tour:

  • Rates are in $US and are per diver
  • Rates do not include equipment rental, marine park entrance fees, Nitrox fill and alochol. These are extra
  • When sending us your booking, please choose your dates, the number of divers in your party and your room type. After we receive your booking request we will email you a diver checklist form that must be promptly returned to confirm your booking.

Payment Terms:

  • We accept secure payments by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal
  • TourChoice does not receive any customer sensitive data from credit card processing companies
  • Prepayment in full if booking 60 days or less before departure date.
  • Bookings can only be held for 48 hours after your request has been confirmed. Prompt payment is important to guaranteeing your reservation onboard. 
  • A 50% deposit is payable upon confirmation if booking more than 60 days in advance. (It is recommended that you book at least 90 days in advance during peak season (November - March)
  • The tour price does not include entry to marine parks such as the Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar (for the 8D 7N tour) 
  • A booking voucher and other details will be forwarded to you upon confirmation

For safety reasons, children under the age of 10 are only allowed by prior special arrangement and approval. A young small child sharing the same bed as parents can join the curise at $15 per night. Child requiring his/her own bed will be charged the normal adult diver rate. Children who are 10 years and older and are certified divers will be charged at the normal diver rate.

Non Diver Rate and Single Occupancy Rate:

Non divers are required to pay 10% less than diver rates. A single occupancy diver is required to pay the normal per diver fee plus the extra cost for occupying remaining spaces in the cabin at the non diver rate.

Refund / Cancellation and No Show Policy:

  • If cancelling 45 days or more before your tour start date, a $35 cancellation fee plus bank charges will apply
  • If cancelling 45 to 30 days before your tour start date, 25% of the booking fee will be charged
  • If cancelling 30 days or less before your tour start date, the entire guest fee is non refundable.
  • The same for No Shows, the entire guest fee is non refundable. 


We strongly recommend that you buy your own personal trip cancellation insurance for your own protection. You should also buy insurance coverage appropriate for activites such as diving, medical, travel coverage, personal liability. The tour operator or tour agent cannot be held responsible for personal loss or injury where customers choose not to secure such insurance coverage. The tour operator does carry insurance coverage which can cover local emergency evacuations and limited treatments in case of diving accidents, it does not however cover, repratriation, international transportation or family visitiation expenses. 

Fuel Surcharge:

MV Deep Andaman Queen has a policy about applying a fuel surcharge of $30 per diver per night if the cost of fuel rises by 25% or more after the booking was made. We are obliged to communicate this policy although we understand that in practice it is uncommon. 

Passport Validity and Myanmar Visa:

Please ensure that your passport has sufficient validity (over 6 months) before traveling to Thailand or Myanmar. Visa on arrival in Myanmar is about $30 USD. AMyanmar has opened its borders, BUT, the government does things VERY differently. Modern administrative procedures do not exist. As such, we need your passport information well  ahead of your arrival. 

Local Conditions: 

The waters you will sail on can be subject to variations. Where itineraries are given, they are approximate and may be subject to changes on accord to official regulations or other circumstances. The final decision regarding itinerary always lies with the Captain of MV Deep Andaman Queen.
